Highly Cited Researchers

Clarivate Web of Science has released its annual list of Highly Cited Researchers, including four ICFO Group Leaders:

• * Prof Dr Pelayo Garcia de Arquer- Cross Field Category
• * ICREA Prof Dr Javier Garcia de Abajo- Cross Field Category
• * ICREA Prof Dr Frank Koppens- Cross Field Category
• * ICREA Prof Dr Maciej Lewenstien- Physics Category

Garcia de Arquer, Garcia de Abajo, Koppens and Lewenstein have been named Highly Cited Researchers, having demonstrated significant and broad influence as reflected in their publication of multiple highly cited papers over the last decade. These highly cited papers rank in the top 1% of citations for a field or fields and publication year in journals indexed in the Web of Science.

To determine this 2021 list of influential researchers, Clarivate surveyed papers published and cited during 2010 to 2020 that at the end of 2020 ranked in the top 1% by citations for their Essential Science Indicators (ESI). Researchers are selected for their exceptional influence and performance in one of more of the 21 fields used in the ESI. T
