Welcome to the ICFO Whistleblowing Channel
What is it?
This Channel is a communication tool through which you can report or inform ICFO about criminal conduct, administrative violations, or non-compliance with a regulation that affects the institution.
How does it work?
Through this platform you can submit your report to us in writing. The information you provide will be treated confidentially and, should you choose so, also anonymously. However, we encourage you to submit your report in an identified manner, as it facilitates more efficient handling.
Once we receive your communication, we will follow these steps: receipt of the communication, preliminary analysis, investigation — where applicable — of the reported facts, and issuance of a final conclusions report. You will be kept promptly informed of the progress of the procedure, throughout which the rights
and duties of all persons who may be affected by the reported facts will be respected.
You may also submit your communication by arranging a personal meeting with the collegiate body, sending your request to ethics@icfo.eu. In this case, with your prior authorisation, minutes will be drawn up to record the reported facts.
The data provided to us will be accessible solely by the collegiate body responsible for the Whistleblowing Channel, made up of the Chief Financial and Compliance Officer, the Vice Director of People, Education and Culture, and ICFO’s Legal Counsel; and, exceptionally, by those individuals whose involvement is necessary for the proper handling of the received report.
Under no circumstances will the identity of the reporting person be disclosed to any third party, with the possible exception of complying with a judicial or authority requirement.
We also inform you that no good-faith user of the channel will be subject to any form of retaliation as a result of its use.
Please bear in mind that you should only provide us with the personal data strictly necessary for the processing of the report.
While this Whistleblowing Channel is the preferred means of reporting, we also wish to inform you that, should you wish to report criminal conduct or a serious or very serious administrative violation, you may also direct your report to the Oficina Antifrau de Catalunya (Catalan Anti-Fraud Office) through their website.
Thank you for your cooperation.
[If you notice that this platform is not functioning correctly, please notify us immediately at ethics@icfo.eu so that we can resolve it as soon as possible].
