Fellowships Programs
ICFO offers fellowships for PhD studies at the institute using a variety of funding mechanisms, competitive projects or grants awarded to ICFO as a whole or to its research groups as well as agreements or contracts with other institutions. Regardless of the specific funding mechanism, ICFO PhD Fellows will be fully funded throughout the entire PhD Program.
All PhD Fellowships on offer are awarded through our standardized admissions procedure. A rolling call with periodic deadlines is always open for candidates motivated to do a PhD in any eligible ICFO group. Each call includes detailed information on the available fellowships and candidates applying to them are considered for all fellowships on offer for which they are eligible. If you are interested in opportunities for PhD student positions, please browse each Group Home under our Research pages, check the open calls and available group projects and go to the Job Openings & Fellowships page to apply through the corresponding calls.
