In our group, we implement and develop novel data analysis pipelines to quantify the microscopy data obtained with our microscopes.
Bioimage data analysis is a flourishing field at the intersection of biology, computer science and microscopy. It involves the development and application of computational techniques to extract quantitative information from various microscopy techniques to answer relevant questions in the field of biology. Bioimage analysis algorithms can, for example, automatically segment cells, detect cellular structures, track dynamic processes, etc. These algorithms enable researchers to unravel intricate spatial and temporal information, crucial to obtain insights into cellular behavior and functions. In our group, we implement costume analysis pipelines to analyze the data generated with our microscopes. We also develop new algorithms that enable accessing hidden information in the raw data and quantify new experimental parameters. Our goal is to deliver solutions to the new challenges that arise from the cutting-edge microscopy techniques that we develop and use them for pioneering research.
