ICFO Alumni Seminars are an opportunity for ICFOnians to meet with Alumni and learn from their insights on their career paths to date.
Bio: Caitriona received her PhD in Biophysics in 2003 from Trinity College Dublin. After three years of postdoctoral research in the Biophotonics group in ICFO she joined the HRB in International Affairs. Her work focused on supporting researcher participation in EU funding programmes. She was Ireland’s national representative to the European Commission for health research for five years. From 2013 she managed awards to large-scale clinical trial centres, and coordination and funding of trials nationally. She leads the implementation of Gender policy in the HRB, and has experience with driving public and patient involvement in research.
As of 2021 her portfolio focuses on data infrastructures to support research, and supporting the Personalised Medicine agenda to advance health.
