BIST Synergies Training sessions: ERC SYNERGY GRANTS
Preparing a competitive ERC Synergy Grant application requires sound understanding of the call aim, and of the key elements to be included in the proposal. That is why BIST offers a complete training program consisting of two seminars and an In-person event.
the upcoming training program ‘’How to write a successful ERC Synergy Grant Proposal’’, consisting of the following sessions:
Session 1: Call-in depth analysis (online), 11 May 2022
This seminar provides applicants with an overview of the ERC SyG call´s unique aim and scope. The features of the call are reviewed in depth, including the one-step submission and three-step evaluation, application content, consortium profiles, specific evaluation criterion, evaluator profiles, etc. After completing the seminar, participants will be able to determine if their project idea aligns with the focus of the ERC SyG call, how to (self-)evaluate themselves as competitive candidates, what evaluation criterion they will be judged against, etc.

Session 2: Training on proposals (online), 1 June 2022
In this seminar we share our experience and best practices from having worked on more than one hundred and fifty ERC applications to date, guiding applicants on how to prepare a competitive scientific proposal. Ample practical tips are given in terms of structure, headings, content and focus. After completing the seminar, participants will know how to organise the proposal in an optimal way, how to focus B1 and B2, how to avoid typical mistakes, etc.
