Inspiring Careers Seminar
Inspiring Careers is a series of seminars designed to inspire ICFO’s researchers by highlighting successful careers of scientists that have taken unconventional paths, with the objectives to open new opportunities when it comes to deciding about the next career step.
A wide range of career options, focusing on those less explored, will be presented through a journey into the professional experience of the invited speakers.
A networking session with coffee will be held after the seminars to follow the conversation in a more informal setting.
Dr. Anna Oddone is an Associate Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Project Manager at Plankton Planet
Dr Anna Oddone is an ICFO Alumni. She has worked as a Post-doc on advanced fluorescence imaging and biophysics and is currently an Associate Professor at Pompeu Fabra University in the field of super-resolution microscopy (STORM). Parallel to her scientific career, she has also developed a career in sailing and has combined the two passions, focusing on sustainable initiatives and communicating the importance of the oceans. She has been involved in non-profit projects, since 2020 she has been working for Plankton Planet, a collaborative project aimed at understanding plankton and working as a crew member of TEAM JOLOKIA, sailing team that focuses on diversity.
